Siem Reap
about
Many will say Siem Reap is the gateway to an ancient civilization of the past, especially through its ancient artifacts and architecture. Every year millions of visitors will come and enjoy the scenic ruins and temples, especially the Angkor Temple, noted as the last of the seven wonders in the world. Because of this, Siem Reap is often misunderstood - many people saw Siem Reap as a land of great ancient superstructures and in their awe, forgotten that a city's essence lies in not just of what we see, but what we feel. Siem Reap's ancient anthropology and the people who lived this culture are the real essence of the city. Embedded in the temples are stories of the once-upon-a-time, yet the present is often lost amongst the greatness of its history. To see Siem Reap is not just to see the infrastructures, the same few things millions of people saw, but to be able to take a probe into the lives of the city dwellers, to communicate with people who saw a different set of colours of the city - not by language but through empathy and understanding. With the immense number of tourists invitations abound in the city, I believe in showing my guests the real essence of Siem Reap - beyond the temples, the glamour, the stories, and into the lives of those who create the city. Therefore may I invite you to have a look at my website, the services or I call it invitations which I offer, to come with me and have a glance of what this part of the world is all about, not just the temples or the city booze, but Cambodia itself.
